Cloudflare challenges developers to build the next Git platform
Original: We want you to build the next Git platform on Cloudflare https://blog.cloudflare.com/next-git-platform-on-cloudflare/ #
Cloudflare has published a blog post calling on developers to build the next Git hosting platform on its infrastructure. The company argues its global network can support the version-control services developers rely on, and is inviting the community to create alternatives to existing platforms like GitHub and GitLab. The call has been picked up and shared across developer and open-source communities, sparking discussion about decentralising code hosting.
Why now: Developers are discussing alternatives to dominant Git hosting platforms following Cloudflare's open invitation to build one on its network.
