SSO music director finalists to complete week-long residencies
Original: Finalists for SSO music director will have week-long residency
The Springfield Symphony Orchestra has announced that its finalists for music director will each take part in a week-long residency with the orchestra. The residencies are expected to let candidates work closely with musicians and audiences before a final appointment is made. The orchestra has not said how many finalists there are or when the residencies will take place.
Why now: The announcement of a new stage in the SSO's music director search is of local interest to classical music audiences.
