It's a Wonderful Life Makes Its Broadway Premiere
The classic film It's a Wonderful Life has arrived on Broadway for the first time, with the Shubert Organization among those announcing the premiere. The stage adaptation of Frank Capra's beloved 1946 holiday story marks a new chapter for a property long associated with Christmas screenings rather than live theatre. Theatre fans are weighing how the small-town tale of George Bailey translates to the Broadway stage.
Why now: A beloved holiday classic is making its first-ever Broadway staging, drawing attention from theatre audiences.
