Five years into Covid, still not dead
Original: 5. Jahrestag des immer noch nicht gestorben sein. # impfen # schwurbel # corona # covid
Social media users in German-speaking countries are marking five years since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic with a sardonic anniversary: 'five years of still not being dead'. The posts use hashtags for vaccination and Covid, and appear to mock pandemic conspiracy narratives by pointing out that vaccinated people have survived and remain healthy five years on.
Why now: It is roughly five years since the coronavirus pandemic began, prompting ironic anniversary posts that poke fun at anti-vaccine predictions.
