A French-language post circulating on Mastodon accuses public broadcaster France 2 of being 'la voix de son maître' — the voice of its master — suggesting the channel parrots the government line rather than reporting independently. The author adds the criticism applies to other media outlets as well, framing it as a broader problem across French television and press coverage.

Why now: Ongoing distrust of French media's independence and perceived pro-government bias is driving criticism of public broadcasters.
