Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the Pentagon will establish a drone command and what would be the US military's first new installation in four decades. The department will also commission studies on the future of warfare, led in part by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich. The involvement of Musk and Gingrich in military planning has drawn attention and some skepticism.
