Trump expresses regret over some Supreme Court picks
Original: Trump regrets Supreme Court picks
Donald Trump has voiced regret over some of his appointments to the US Supreme Court, complaining that justices he nominated have not consistently ruled in his favour. The comments renew debate over his influence on the court, which includes three justices he appointed during his first term and which has ruled against him in several key cases.
Why now: Trump's criticism of his own appointees raises fresh questions about the independence of the Supreme Court.
