Sony is rolling out AI-powered graphics upscaling, known as Quick Spectral Super Resolution, to the standard PS5 console. The technology uses machine learning to boost image quality and performance without requiring the more expensive PS5 Pro hardware. Gamers are discussing what this means for older consoles, with many seeing it as a way to extend the base PS5's lifespan and bring enhanced visuals to a wider audience.
Why now: It suggests PS5 owners can get improved visuals without buying the pricier PS5 Pro.
