'Operation Mincemeat' musical opens at Chicago's CIBC Theatre

Original: Review: ‘Operation Mincemeat’ at CIBC Theatre spins a true wartime story into a nutty musical

The musical 'Operation Mincemeat' has opened at Chicago's CIBC Theatre, adapting the true Second World War British deception operation into a comedy. A Chicago Tribune review praises the show for spinning the wartime intelligence story, in which Allies faked documents to mislead the Nazis, into an irreverent, nutty stage musical. The review highlights the show's blend of historical detail and absurdist humor for its Chicago audiences.

Why now: The London hit musical has newly arrived in Chicago, drawing fresh press attention and reviews.
