British police have arrested a U.K.-Iranian man in connection with an incident at RAF Fairford, a Royal Air Force base in Gloucestershire used by U.S. forces. The case is being treated as terrorism-related, and the arrest comes amid heightened concern in Britain over security threats linked to Iran. Details of the alleged incident and the man's identity have not been disclosed.
Why now: Ongoing fears about Iranian-linked security threats in the U.K. make any terrorism arrest at a U.S.-used air base highly newsworthy.
