ArcaneChat, an open-source messenger, is promoting itself with a lighthearted post about sharing memes in group chats "through thick and thin." The app positions itself as a European, decentralised messaging option for Android, tapping into ongoing interest in alternatives to mainstream chat platforms. Attention centres on its open-source approach and its pitch as an independent, privacy-friendly way to stay in touch.
Why now: Interest in European and decentralised alternatives to mainstream messaging apps is currently high.
