A writer on the blog Thistle and Moss has published an essay mocking the 'Unites States' misspelling, describing the country as a 'United Shitshow' and touching on a misspelled superintelligence, a governor's costume beard and bigotry. The piece closes with a Milton quotation about the freedom of the press, framing the satire as a defence of free expression.
Why now: Satirical political commentary about the United States is circulating and resonating with readers frustrated by current American politics.
