Sudanese families describe fleeing 'hell'
Original: “We left hell”
Sudanese civilians who escaped the country's war are speaking out about what they endured, describing the places they fled as 'hell'. Their accounts reflect the continued exodus of families seeking safety from fighting between Sudan's rival forces, with humanitarian groups warning of one of the world's largest displacement crises.
Why now: Ongoing conflict and mass displacement in Sudan are keeping escapees' testimonies in the news.
