SpaceX Transporter-18 to launch over 100 spacecraft on rideshare mission
Original: Launch preview: More than 100 spacecraft hitch a ride to orbit on SpaceX’s Transporter-18
SpaceX is preparing its Transporter-18 mission, a dedicated smallsat rideshare flight carrying more than 100 spacecraft to orbit. The launch will deploy a large batch of satellites for a range of commercial and institutional customers, continuing the company's regular rideshare program that lets smaller operators share a single Falcon 9 flight. Previews note the mission as one of the busiest recent launches.
Why now: The launch is imminent and its unusually large number of payloads draws attention from the space community.
