Netflix confirms KPop Demon Hunters 2 will hit theaters

Original: Netflix Grits Its Teeth, Says 'KPop Demon Hunters 2' Will Get Theatrical Release https://gizmodo.com/netflix-grits-its-t

Netflix has confirmed that the sequel to its animated hit 'KPop Demon Hunters' will receive a theatrical release, a notable shift for a company that has long kept its biggest films streaming-only. The first film's enormous popularity appears to have pushed the streamer to give the follow-up a cinema run, and film fans are weighing what that means for Netflix's release strategy going forward.

Why now: Netflix rarely gives its original films wide theatrical releases, so the decision signals how big the first movie became.
