Isaac Heeney wins Swans best and fairest after suspension
Original: isaac heeney sydney swans speech
Sydney Swans forward Isaac Heeney has won the club's best and fairest award for 2026, taking out the top honour at the club's awards night despite serving a suspension earlier in the year for a hotel incident. In his speech, Heeney said it was the first time he had smiled in a while and that he 'can't wait' to resume his AFL career next season.
Why now: Heeney's award win and emotional first public comments after a controversial suspension are drawing wide coverage in Australia.
