A streamer is live-playing Pokemon Ghost Grey, a fan-made Pokemon romhack, calling it the edgiest thing they have seen in a video game. The game puts a dark, spooky twist on the usually family-friendly Pokemon formula, which is typical of fan romhacks that explore darker themes Nintendo never would. Viewers are being invited to watch the playthrough live.
Why now: Fan-made Pokemon romhacks with dark themes regularly generate buzz in gaming communities, and this one is being showcased in a live stream.
