Two rank outsiders lead the Dunhill Links Championship
Original: Two rank outsiders not even in the world's top 750 lead the Dunhill Links Championship
Two little-known golfers ranked outside the world's top 750 hold the lead at the Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, ahead of far better-known professionals. The surprise standings have drawn attention because the Dunhill Links typically attracts big names competing alongside celebrities at St Andrews and partner courses. Their early position raises the prospect of an unlikely contender contending for the title.
Why now: The unexpected leaders beating far higher-ranked players makes for a surprising underdog story at a high-profile event.
