Putin warns Russia will use 'all weapons' over Kaliningrad
Original: Putin warns Russia will use 'all weapons' if Kaliningrad threatened
Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that Russia will use 'all weapons' at its disposal if the Kaliningrad exclave is threatened. The statement, reported by ABC News, has drawn attention because the region sits between Poland and Lithuania, both NATO members, and the pledge is being read as a reference to Russia's full military arsenal, including nuclear weapons, amid already high tensions over Ukraine.
Why now: Escalating rhetoric from Putin raises fears of nuclear escalation and confrontation with NATO over the Russian exclave.
