Android Central to continue after laying off entire staff
Original: Android Central 'will continue' despite laying off its staff https://www.theverge.com/tech/1003735/android-central-layof
Android Central, a long-running Android news site, has laid off its entire staff, but its owner says the publication 'will continue'. The news has prompted discussion among tech journalists and readers about the future of the outlet and the broader pressures facing specialist tech media, with many questioning how a publication can carry on without its editorial team.
Why now: Readers and tech journalists are reacting to the paradox of a well-known outlet laying off all its staff while claiming it will keep operating.
