A fundraising campaign is underway for Ahmed, a Palestinian student reportedly facing state violence, with supporters saying his situation requires urgent help. The appeal has raised 58 of a 250 target, with organizers hoping to complete it by Sunday. Backers say reaching the goal would give Ahmed self-sufficiency for the first time in three years.

Why now: People are sharing the campaign to push donations toward the Sunday deadline for a student in crisis.
