Hacking The Kendama With Physics
Physics enthusiasts are breaking down the kendama, the Japanese skill toy of a ball, string and cupped handle, to explain the science behind its tricks. Using physics reasoning, they analyse the rotations, momentum and timing that make landing the ball possible, showing how understanding the mechanics can help players improve their control and master harder moves.
Why now: People enjoy seeing familiar games explained through science, and the physics take on kendama tricks has struck a chord with viewers.
