A proposal to stage a Major League Baseball game inside Grand Teton National Park has drawn criticism, according to The Guardian. Opponents say a commercial sporting event would conflict with the National Park Service's conservation mission and set a precedent for private use of protected public lands. The report has prompted wide debate online about the appropriate role of professional sports and corporate interests in national parks.
