A generative artist has launched this year's Mathober challenge with a Python-coded piece called EllipsesOnLayered, built around the first daily prompt and focusing on ellipses, perimeters and layered geometry. The work is part of the annual month-long event where mathematicians and creative coders share math-inspired art, with the creator posting code and additional images on their blog.
Why now: Mathober 2026 has just begun, and participants are sharing their first prompt-based sketches.
