New data shows greenhouse gas concentrations in New Zealand's atmosphere have reached record levels. Reporting by RNZ highlights the finding, with commenters reacting with grim irony — sharing the 'this is fine' meme and blaming intensive dairy farming under hashtags like #tooManyCows and #dirtyDairy. The figures underline continuing upward emissions trends despite climate policy discussions in the country.

Why now: Fresh official data confirming record greenhouse gas levels renewed public concern over New Zealand's agricultural emissions.
