Multiple explosions were heard overnight in Volgograd and around the industrial zone of the Volgograd oil refinery, according to OSINT channels. Footage circulating online reportedly shows air defence systems engaging drones over the city. No reports of impacts or damage have been confirmed so far.
Why now: Air defence activity against drones deep inside Russia signals the war's expanding reach and fuels speculation about strikes on energy infrastructure.
