Netanyahu: radicalised FlyDubai co-pilot told crew 'kill me'
Original: aereo dirottato
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the co-pilot of a FlyDubai aircraft had been radicalised and told the crew 'kill me' during the incident. The claim is drawing attention in Italy, where 'aereo dirottato' (hijacked plane) is trending, as news outlets including ANSA report on the remarks and questions grow over aviation security and the circumstances of the flight.
Why now: Netanyahu's striking allegation about a radicalised co-pilot on a hijacked or diverted plane is fresh, dramatic news circulating internationally.
