Original: аделия петросян
Russian figure skater Adelia Petrosyan is in the spotlight as she finished fourth after the short program at a tournament in Georgia, trailing compatriot Frolova, who sits second. Attention is also on her Olympic selection path, after a rival competing for a spot in the Olympic qualifier was denied travel to a tournament in Hungary. Her results are being closely watched ahead of Olympic qualification.
Why now: Petrosyan is competing in tournaments that factor into Olympic team selection, and controversy around a rival's denied travel has drawn attention.
