Cornell University students spoke out at a public hearing to express anger and frustration over the handling of a rape case. The BBC reports that students used the hearing to demand accountability, and the story is drawing attention amid broader concern about how sexual assault cases on US campuses are addressed.
Why now: The hearing gives students a public platform over a serious campus assault case, drawing national attention.
