Refugee education funding cuts threaten millions, UN warns
Original: ‘I have not lost my dreams’: Refugee education funding cuts threaten millions
The United Nations is warning that cuts to refugee education funding could leave millions of displaced children and young people without access to schooling. The message, captured in the phrase 'I have not lost my dreams', highlights how refugees themselves are speaking out against the reduction of support, urging donors and governments to protect education for displaced populations.
Why now: Recent funding shortfalls have put schooling for millions of refugee children at risk, drawing attention from the UN and humanitarian advocates.
