Yomiuri TV's Chiaki Kuroki to anchor nationwide news show

Original: 黒木千晶

Yomiuri Television announcer Chiaki Kuroki has been named main anchor of "News to," the program taking over the slot after "Miyaneya." It marks her first regular role on a national network. She says she carries with her the advice of longtime host Seiji Miyane as she steps into the high-profile position.

Why now: Announcement of the successor program to the popular "Miyaneya" slot and its new anchor is drawing attention.
