Passengers Foil Attempted 'Israeli 9/11' Terror Attack
Original: Passengers Foil 'Israeli 9/11' Terror Attack
Passengers are credited with stopping what authorities described as a planned mass-casualty attack in Israel, compared in scale to the 9/11 attacks. Reports describe the plot being thwarted after those on board intervened. Details about the suspects, the target and the exact circumstances of the intervention remain limited, but the incident is drawing wide attention given the scale authorities say was averted.
Why now: The dramatic prevention of an allegedly large-scale attack and passengers' role in stopping it is drawing major public attention.
