Citizen collaboration drives PFAS Awareness Week successes
PFAS Awareness Week is being credited with successes built on citizen collaboration, according to Michigan state officials. The campaign highlights public involvement in raising awareness of PFAS, the so-called 'forever chemicals' linked to health and environmental concerns, and in supporting efforts to address contamination across affected communities.
Why now: Growing public concern over PFAS contamination keeps the annual awareness campaign and community involvement in the news.
