Top military official used hacked phone number for six years

Original: High ranking military used hacked phone number for 6 years To see how people who's job description is data security AND

A high-ranking military figure reportedly used a compromised phone number for six years, apparently for private purposes. Commenters are pointing out the irony that someone whose job involves data security failed so badly at basic operational security, noting that such a figure's communications data would be highly interesting to attackers.

Why now: The glaring contradiction between the official's security role and their poor personal security practices is drawing criticism.
