Russia fires over 100 attack drones at Ukraine overnight

Original: Zelensky: Russia launched over 100 attack drones at Ukraine overnight, nearly 50 of them jet-powered

President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched more than 100 attack drones against Ukraine overnight, with nearly 50 of them jet-powered models, which are harder to intercept. The statement comes amid continued Russian aerial attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, keeping air defence capacity a central concern for Kyiv and its Western partners.

Why now: Russian drone attacks on Ukraine remain a daily occurrence and the growing use of jet-powered drones signals an escalation in the air campaign.
