Swedes mark Friday with simple greetings online
Original: fredag
Social media users across Sweden are posting the word 'fredag', the Swedish word for Friday, as the working week comes to an end. The posts are simple weekend greetings rather than responses to a specific news event, reflecting a common end-of-week ritual among Swedish users sharing relief that Friday has arrived.
Why now: It is Friday, and Swedes traditionally greet the end of the working week with short celebratory posts.
