Drivers warned flashing headlights could bring £1,000 fine
Original: £1,000 fine warning for anyone who flashes their headlights to other drivers https:// fed.brid.gy/r/https://www.mirr or.
British motorists are being warned that flashing their headlights to alert other drivers — for example to police speed traps or hazards — could result in a fine of up to £1,000. Under Highway Code rules, headlamp flashes should only be used to warn others of your presence, and misuse can be treated as an offence.
Why now: A widely read motoring warning about a little-known rule many drivers routinely break.
