Demonstrators took to the streets in 45 Moroccan cities to protest against the expansion of relations with Israel. The protests are described as large-scale and span the country, reflecting opposition to normalisation. The marches come amid ongoing anger over the war in Gaza, with some participants linking cooperation with Israel to complicity in the conflict.
Why now: Anger over the Gaza war has pushed Moroccans to reject their government's deepening normalisation with Israel.
