Original: Double-A Portland, New Hampshire teams strike Delta Dental jersey patch deals
The Double-A baseball clubs in Portland, Maine, and Manchester, New Hampshire, have both reached jersey patch sponsorship agreements with Delta Dental. The deals put the insurer's logo on the teams' uniforms, an advertising format long common in minor league baseball and now spreading further. It underscores how regional brands are investing in minor league sports marketing.
Why now: Minor league jersey sponsorship deals draw attention as teams expand corporate advertising on uniforms.
