Original: Ukraine turned ground robots into a frontline workhorse. Its first competitive tender may reward cheap copies over proven machines, an officer warns
Ukraine has turned unmanned ground vehicles into a frontline workhorse, using robots to evacuate wounded soldiers, deliver supplies and perform dangerous tasks near the front. Why now: Ukraine is opening its first competitive procurement tender for ground robots, and concerns that cost-cutting could sideline proven battlefield systems have drawn attention.
