British Nutrition Foundation urges stronger food education in UK schools

Original: British Nutrition Foundation calls for stronger food education policy in UK schools

The British Nutrition Foundation is calling on the UK government to strengthen food education policy in schools, arguing that better structured teaching about nutrition and food is needed for children. The appeal, reported by food industry outlet New Food, pushes for food education to be given greater priority in the national curriculum.

Why now: Growing concern over childhood obesity and poor diets has put school food education back on the policy agenda.
