Phoebe Schecter reveals secrets of British women's flag football success
Original: Campfire chats, cross-sport scouting missions and “superhero” alter egos: Phoebe Schecter on the secrets behind British women’s flag football success
British women's flag football is enjoying growing success, and former NFL coach Phoebe Schecter attributes it to unusual team-building methods: campfire-style chats, scouting talent from other sports, and players adopting 'superhero' alter egos. Schecter, a prominent ambassador for the sport as it heads toward its Olympic debut, says the culture and mental approach behind the squad are as important as athletic skill.
Why now: Flag football's inclusion in the LA 2028 Olympics has put rising national programmes like Britain's under the spotlight.
