South Korea threatens action against Ukraine over North Korean transfers

Original: south korea ukraine

South Korean President Lee has threatened action against Ukraine over the reported transfer of North Korean soldiers or nationals, warning of consequences if Kyiv moves captured North Koreans in ways Seoul objects to. The dispute adds a new wrinkle to the war, with North Korean troops already fighting alongside Russian forces and Seoul weighing its response.

Why now: A direct diplomatic clash between two countries not previously at odds is a significant new development in the Ukraine war.
