Zelenskyy says Ukraine to make 400 jet-powered drone interceptors in October
Original: Zelenskyy expects 400 jet-powered drone interceptors to be produced in October, but their effectiveness varies President
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine expects to produce about 400 units of one model of high-speed interceptor drone in October, designed to counter Russian jet-powered drones. He acknowledged that the effectiveness of such interceptors varies between models, tempering optimism about the figure as Ukraine scrambles to strengthen its air defences against intensifying Russian drone attacks.
Why now: Ukraine's push to scale up drone interceptor production is central to its response to escalating Russian air attacks.
