UK sanctions seven Russians over Ukrainian children

Original: KYIV INDEPENDENT: UK sanctions 7 Russians over deportation, indoctrination of Ukrainian children https:// kyivindependen

The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on seven Russian nationals accused of involvement in the deportation and indoctrination of Ukrainian children. Among those targeted is Artur Orlov, head of Russia's Movement of the First youth organisation. The measures follow international condemnation of the forced transfer of Ukrainian minors, which has been ruled a war crime by the International Criminal Court.

Why now: Forced deportation of Ukrainian children remains a central and contentious issue in the war, drawing new Western sanctions action.
