Voters Urged to Return Mail Ballots Early, Not on Election Day
Original: You’ve filled out your mail-in ballot early, meaning to return... then🚨put it in the mail the day of the election, slapp
A call is circulating urging voters who request mail-in ballots to return them well before election day rather than mailing them at the last minute. The message warns that dropping a ballot in the mail on voting day, sticker and all, may be too late for it to count, and tells people to vote early and return ballots by any safe means available.
Why now: Concern that last-minute mailed ballots may miss postmark or arrival deadlines and go uncounted in the US election.
