French students are protesting for the right to study in decent conditions, framing their demands as a basic call for dignity rather than anything radical. Commenters describe the students as being relentlessly hounded for making what they call the bare minimum of requests. The situation has drawn attention across French and wider European political discussions, with sympathy for the students' cause.
Why now: Ongoing student protests in France over poor study conditions are drawing sympathy and debate across European social media.
