Skeptic mocks list of religious ideas lacking evidence
Original: Theists: But enough about God. Other ideas without evidence: # souls # spirits # angels # demons # heaven # hell # after
A social media comment has sparked conversation by satirising religious belief, framing God as just one entry in a longer list of concepts that lack evidence, alongside souls, angels, demons, heaven, hell, the afterlife, reincarnation and karma. The remark is resonating with atheism advocates who argue faith-based claims deserve the same scepticism applied to other unproven ideas, while believers are likely to see it as dismissive.
Why now: Ongoing online debates between atheists and theists over evidence and religious belief keep this kind of sceptical framing in circulation.
