The Kennedy Center has moved its annual Honors ceremony to Capital One Arena in Washington, a major shift for an event traditionally staged at the Kennedy Center Opera House. Why now: Moving a prestigious ceremony from its historic home to a sports arena is an unexpected change drawing attention.
