Speedrun.com's new terms of service stir leaderboard concerns

Original: Leaderboards and speedrun.com's new terms of service

Speedrun.com, the main hub for video game speedrunning records, has rolled out new terms of service, and the tracking site TheRun.gg has published a blog post examining how the changes affect leaderboards. The update is drawing attention from speedrunners who rely on the platform to verify runs and rank records, with questions about moderation, data use and leaderboard access at the centre of the discussion.

Why now: Speedrunners are reacting to the new terms because they could change how leaderboards and verified records are run and accessed.
